Egg hunt! I was getting worried about Boxie because she wasn't laying but then one day I found this! The chicks have not been using their coop lately so she lays the eggs wherever. Half of the backyard is an overgrown jungle so the daily egg hunt can get a bit extensive. We are going to buy a coop, once they go on sale again, and retrain the chicks to use a laying box. Our coop is homemade and now that it's been through more than a year of service we see what it lacks and the wood we used is getting yucky. We need a new one and instead of trying to build it ourselves we are going to buy one that we've had our eye one since before we ever had chickens. Meanwhile we'll just enjoy our egg hunts!
